Contact Munkstigen Reception First
Safety starts with preparation: Before you start your via ferrata climb at Munkstigen, we recommend familiarizing yourself with important emergency numbers and contact points. Should something unexpected happen, it’s important to know who to contact – and in what order. If you have phone coverage and there is no immediate danger to life and health, we encourage you to first call Munkstigen’s reception at Hindrum Fjordsenter.
In an emergency:
Always call the official emergency services directly: 110 (fire), 112 (police), or 113 (medical assistance). Share this information with your group before you climb, and save the numbers to your phone. A few minutes of preparation can make all the difference for a safe and enjoyable via ferrata experience.
Doctor / Emergency Room
If you or someone near you is facing serious illness or injury, call the emergency number immediately. The emergency room is available outside your regular doctor’s opening hours.
Police
In cases of emergency, danger, or serious incidents – call the police at 112. The Norwegian police are committed to your safety and ready to respond to accidents, crime, or any urgent situation.
