Gautefall Event – Via Ferrata Adventure:
The trail starts at Gautefall Alpine Center. About 30 minutes walking on trail before you reach the via ferrata entry at 400 meters above sea level. The total climbing trip takes around 2.5 hours. A beginner-friendly route suitable for anyone from 10 years and up. Hegneknuten summit rises to 567 meters above sea level.

Via Ferrata Haldenkanalen – Europe’s Longest Suspension Bridge:

Munkstigen – Trondheims beste utkikkstårn:

Via Ferrata
What is a via ferrata?
A via ferrata equips a mountain with fixed safety aids like steel cables, brackets, ladders, and bridges. This allows you to climb the mountain in a safe and predictable way – without needing advanced climbing skills. Normal physical fitness and coordination are usually enough to enjoy a via ferrata adventure.
A secured climbing route for everyone:
The activity enables both hikers and climbers to follow a fixed climbing route without using their own ropes or anchors, and without facing the same risks as traditional rock climbing. Via ferrata routes are typically “one-way”, and if they are not part of a longer mountain hike, there are often special return trails for safe descent.
A worldwide adventure:
In some cases, the descent may include rappels or zip lines. Via ferratas can be found in many countries including Italy, France, Austria, Slovenia, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Norway, and Poland – and on other continents such as the USA, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Japan, and Malaysia. The world’s highest via ferrata is located at 3,800 meters on Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia.
