It’s a 1 hour drive from Trondheim, including the ferry from Flakk to Rørvik.
This is the perfect activity for you if you want to push your limits, maybe together with good friends or family. This is a climbing trip for everyone, there are no need for prerequisites.
Munkstigen Via Ferrata is 950 meters long. The trip takes approximately 3-5 hours, and it’s up to you if you want to take your time and enjoy the view, or rush it for a workout. An ideal tour for tourists, clubs, associations, colleagues, school classes, student groups, sport groups etc.
An experienced guide can be pre-ordered, and has to be booked minimum 2 days in advance of the trip. A guide is not mandatory, but if you are a bit unsure there might be a good idea to have someone along your side with more climbing experience and who knows the climbing path well.
Did you know? The summit Munken got its name because it’s on a direct line starting from the Nidaros Cathedral, down the street Munkegata, over the islet Munkholmen and to the summit Munken.
